About Me

I study English, German and Education to become a teacher one day.

PHILOSOPHY

To get to know as much new stuff as possible while enjoying the old experiences still.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travelled through the United States and Canada for several month during various trips and stayed with many interesting, fun, inspiring people from CS. It made all trips so much better to stay with locals and I'm still amazed how wonderful they were!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love the idea to stay with people of the country I'm visiting and not in a hotel room. I want to get to know the country by getting to know the people who live there. It has always been amazing because I have met so many wonderful people and had a great time with them!

Interests

I enjoy travelling, getting to know new people, places and couches, music, art, photography, working out (mostly running), movies, books, hanging out with friends and having great conversations about everything. I really enjoy exploring nature, e.g. through hiking or just relaxing somewhere with a great view and a good book. I like talking about many topics, some of them are maritime life (I love whales and sharks), football (some may call it soccer), books, working out, health topics, enviroment, teaching, travelling...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like movies that make me feel something, so independent movies that make me think about the world and ponder are high on my list. However, I can also very much enjoy other movies, such as silly British comedies. Lately, I've watched more TV series than movies, such as Doctor Who (Yay!), The Office, Parks and Rec, and many many more, the list is endless.
Music: Jason Mraz, James Morrison, singer songwriters basically. I really like The Phantom of the Opera. The music is just amazing! Furthermore, I like some German bands such as Kraftklub, Fettes Brot, Peter Fox.
Books: Benjamin Franklin, Susan Kay, David Sedaris, Nick Hornby, and especially some German authors like Oliver Uschmann, Daniel Kehlmann, Walter Moers and Marc-Uwe Kling. I'm into audio books as well and anything that is read by Simon Jäger I'll listen to, because his voice is the best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have completed my Master of Education and am one huge step closer to becoming a teacher in Germany, which is my absolute dream job.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to cook and could teach you some German recipes if you want to. I like sharing my knowledge and giving tours of cities I know, so this would be Mainz and Wiesbaden in my area.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
