Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Taylor. I am a college student that lives in Florida and have lived here since 2005. I moved here from New Orleans, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina and have stayed ever since. I am enrolled for my bachelors at the University of Florida for international business and hope to one day become an ambassador for the State Department.
As the problem is with many students, the spark to travel is there, but the money is not. I try to find people for Couchsurfing that can provide levels of excitement to my trip as well as a safe one. I am extremely courteous and love any conversation that I can encounter. I would love to expand my horizons on the opportunities abroad.
Throughout all walks of life there is contact with people who shall leave a mark of memory forever. I try my absolutely best to indeed be one of those people. There is no reward without risk and whether it be by sacrificing comfort or security, I've given up both to experience this world and the life we are in. I hope to be hearing from you all soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to grow my personal fears of the “What if’s” when traveling. I know that there are problems and rough places all over the world but being smarter than the violence and going off to do something for yourself builds the character needed to succeed in your other, business oriented day of life. By meeting people you always have the opportunity to connect with others, regardless of where you are in the world. I want to become a better person and learn the stories of others to learn what I can do in my life. That is why I joined Couchsurfing.
Interests
I have so so so many interests I can’t even count. I love music and am willing to listen to just about anything. I play the ukulele and the piano, trumpet and drums. I also love to learn languages. Learning a language mends the gap of ignorance between other cultures and I would love to learn as many as I can to connect with others. I am a huge star wars nerd. I fell in love with it in my childhood days in the early 2000s. I am a vlogger and an urban explorer and love to find adventure and capture it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Star Wars! Lord of the Rings! I love the classics. Currently I’m reading a book about WWII veterans called “The Greatest Generation” by Tom Brokaw. Definitely an amazing book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I try to help all people in need. I’ve stopped to help elderly cross the street, I stop my car on major roadways to save stranded dogs or a guy whose truck broke down and I single handedly pushed it into a parking lot for a tow truck. I’ve volunteered to pay the bugle at veterans funerals and even made YouTube documentaries about them. I try to help anyone who needs it because that’s the right thing we all should do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been practicing 5 languages since I became a freshman in high school, my passion is with Russian and Ukrainian. On top of that I have pursued Spanish, French and Chinese. I would love to connect with people from all walks of life to learn and teach culture and experience what people have to offer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to share my humbleness, I want to share my lack of doubt in humanity and smile and enjoy good company with strangers. Hospitality was all over the world because of traditions but now I feel people are too afraid to chase the dreams of truly connecting with others. I am not. I would love to help teach a language, learn a language, cook, clean, smile, laugh, share a meal, anything.
