To help out somebody who wants or needs to travel on a budget.

ABOUT ME

I've travelled a lot and met some great people who have been generous and kind. They have opened my eyes to the fact that there are friends all over the world who we just haven't met. I just want to do the same for someone else, here in my hometown, where I can lend a helping .... cushion? I have a couch in my living room. It's nothing fancy, but it is cumfy. I also have an airbed if that is preferable.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in learning from past experiences, in whatever way presents itself. Also, I try to remember that in each day lie hidden treasures that can only be discovered if my eyes are open.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about this project on NPR, where a reporter told his story of couch surfing. I was really intrigued. Finally, I am signing up (probably 2 years later), but better late than never.

music -- pretty much any music!
books -- Spanish and Latin American Lit., books about history of and life in other countries
movies -- independent ones are usually a safe bet; I also am a big James Bond and spy movie fan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see La Sagrada familia church in Barcelona which is breathtaking and amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a couple extra bikes and two boats (kayaks)... if you're into it, we can explore via pedals and paddles. Missouri is also known as "where the rivers run", so you'll see many crystal clear creeks and rivers in the ozarks with lots of fish, turtles, snakes, etc.
