It's good way to meet people. Locals know the best way to make you discover their city, often in the not touristy way, which is in my opinion the best way.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have been on a backpacking trip in South America with two friends for five months. I was just amazing.

I also did an exchange at University of Oslo in Norway for one year. It was the greatest experience, I would do it over again any time. I got to travel around the country as well as around Europe. Norway is soooooo beautiful :)
