PHILOSOPHY

I am not the happiest person on the planet so if I meet somebody and he has opinions or a way of life that is different to mine and he is happy with it (and does not hurt other people by his behavior too much...then why should I criticize him or not have sympathy for him and treat him with respect and understanding?
And if he is not happy...well why should I dislike him and kick him when he is down?
Furthermore I am a determinist (at least until I find a third thing influencing human behavior, maybe you can help me out here...?)and try to use this as the basis for a positive worldview by telling myself that people are not at fault for their actions...

I got to know Couchsurfing a many years ago during lenthy travels through Europe. When I moved to Berlin to study I began hosting. Now it's time for me to get back on the road!
