About Me

No hidden word in my profile, just read it please so you can be sure that you really want to stay with me or host me.

Some important facts about me:
1. I am biodegradable.
2. When I cut an onion it cries.
3. I love ducks.

You can stop reading if you have understood that ducks should have been on the first place.

But still let's get the full version started!
Hello! My name is Sofya (Sófia) (буквы "и" тут нет, есть мягкий знак). You could also call me Sonya because all my friends do it :)
I love my life, family and friends. Yes, it's a simple thing but really important.

I try to keep my profile as clear and short as possible (but looks like it has already exceeded all the limits...) so that you can feel that you want to know me (and after reading the references from my awesome guests and hosts) but are not going to be overloaded with non relevant information that you could ask once we meet. In my view, like-minded good individuals inevitably attract one another. Let us put this to the test :)

I am one hell of a foodie! Age makes itself felt so I try to control the quantity of food I eat but not sure i am very successful :D when I am travelling, I like to try local specialialities and I love to communicate with different people. When I am travelling I have enough money to live in a hostel or in a hotel. Nevetheless, I use couchsurfing for the spirit of it. I have met so many couchsurfers and they all are incredible.
So I will be very glad if you stay with me or host me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE PEOPLE!
We all are very different and it is the coolest thing in our life!
My hosts and guests are the best of the best.

I like meeting new people. When I was younger, for me it was hard to understand some things. After living in different places and traveling, I understand that we all are different and if something is easy for me, for another person it can be very hard. I am still surprised by some attitudes or behaviors, but couchsurfing reminds me that we are all wonderfully unique. And I also agree so much with the following quote: “There isn’t anyone you couldn’t love once you’ve heard their story.”

Because of that, I want to meet people from different countries to share our emotions. I want to learn culture and traditions with other people. I think that all of us can teach each other. I enjoy sitting with travelers (or hosts) in the kitchen, drinking tea and talking about our lives. A really unforgettable experience with each person!

I want you to become my friend.
As a host or guest, I hope that we can form a lasting bond that extends beyond our initial interaction, and that you will always be welcome in my home and in my heart.
If you are my guest, I want you to return to Smolensk (or now you can even visit me in Spain or in Switzerland) and stay with me again because we are friends.
If you are my host, I want to see you as a guest in the place where I live or to meet you at any place in the world also because we are friends.

My dream is to have a lot of friends from many countries. Our world is enormous and small at the same time so I will try!

One important thing: after surfing at several places, I have noticed that some of my hosts (probably who really wanted to) found their true love. Not advertising myself but who knows if it's due to my influence :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Hitchhiked in Georgia.
2. Met the family of my boyfriend (around 60 people) without knowing any word in Spanish.
3. Dived in Cuba.
4. Travelled alone in Europe.
5. I felt the rain in Switzerland instead of just getting wet.
6. Married in one of the most beautiful places in this world called... oops, sorry, it's yet to come.
