About Me

Hi friends,

Born in Michigan, I spent many years of my childhood growing up on the doorstep of the Swiss Alps. Perhaps living abroad as a child is what planted the seed for my never ending thirst for adventure as an adult. I spent the rest of my upbringing in Michigan, attending Michigan State University, and now live in Chicago, IL working for Nielsen Market Research.

I'm a travel addict and feel most at home when I'm either in the mountains or staring out over a large body of water. I've had the amazing opportunity to explore many parts of the world and love to have conversations about people's favorite destinations and why. I particularly love Latin America mostly for the amazing people - both travelers and locals - I've met during my time there.

I hope to utilize Couchsurfing as a way to enable me to meet wonderfully curious and kind people and learn a little bit about the stories and insight they have to share.

I hope you will consider opening up your couch to me as a host. I promise you never ending stories and laughter in return.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to host due to my landlord being a stickler on guests. However, I will gladly open up my doors once I have the chance to.

I look for hosts to welcome me into their home for two reasons - 1) Meet someone new and local to learn about their background and some insightful things in the city we are in. And 2) take a break from the Hostel life. Don't get me wrong, I have really enjoyed (most of) my time in Hostels, but mixing it up with a friendly host on Couchsurfing sounds quite nice to me.

Lastly, I have many friends that have had nothing but great things to say about their time Couchsurfing. Trusting their judgment, I'd like to give it a try.

Interests

Like I said above, I particularly love both hiking in the mountains, or staring out over or being on a large body of water. However, I'm open to just about anything new and adventurous.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I am constantly trying to improve my Spanish. If you could help speak it with me, I would love that. And any other language for that matter.

I have quite a bit of experience working in American business - notably Marketing & Finance. If you're interested in learning more advertising, the stock market, building websites, marketing plans, you name it, I'd love to help.
