ABOUT ME

I have a much bigger collection of pictures and couchsurfers and stuff on my photobucket, which you can reach by clicking the 'my website' button just above. It's just a photo site...no facebook, no my space, no cheesy profiles...just all my photography.

I have been described as needing as much maintence as a cactus, so i am happy to either entertain, be entertained or just be left to my own devices.
I'm 24 years old, i have lived in melbourne all my life. Lucky number is 8, and some of my favorite things to do are smile, laugh, drink exotic beers and spirits, make a fool out of myself and of course meet interesting intrepid internationals (sounds like i'm trying to talk myself up for a date or something...hehehe, and i like long walks on the beach and holding people close and...LOL...BLARGH!

I am a manager and work full time at a restauramt / bar in the city called the 'Cho Gao' inside Melbourne Central Shopping complex which is on the city loop...I am one of those fortunate people who can say i really enjoy my job!! :-) I am into body art and have 4 tatoos, my tongue pierced and have a 12mm and 4mm tunnel in each ear. I have been throwing round a few ideas about my next tatt but need to find time to sit down with my tattooist and design it (i cant draw to save my life!)
I am out having a drink or 2 most nights during the week because i am a night owl, and because hospitality hours require me to sacrifice my weekends, but that doesnt matter because i have fun anyway.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everybody i meet outside the CouchSurfing community i try to explain that this will revolutionise the way people interact with complete strangers from the other side of the world who instantly become friends as soon as you click the 'Send e-mail' button.
I have recently acquired some CouchSurfing business cards as well and will be handing them out to the good people i meet on my travels.

Scotty the Kiwi bloke in Zurich and traveled with him for about 2 weeks, since then we have met in two different countries and hemispheres and plan to do the South Americas together as well,

Lidia my Swiss Italian princess in Florence, met again in Vienna, still really good friends,
Sonne the German in Leipzig,
Andre the Portuguese, Cici & Brian the Americans in Prague,
Ulrike in Vienna.
And many more along the way...
I have met many more CS'ers in Melbourne and had some crazy times, met some incredible people, and made some friends that will last a lifetime.
I cannot wait to host some people when i get my own place in Melbourne...I have much Karma to repay :-)

Interests

The art on a canvas and the art people put on their bodies...piercings, tattoos, beer from all over the world. I take my bartending a little bit more seriously than most and really take pride in what i do. Am a little bit of a bier connoisseur (or bier snob as my friends so affectionately refeer to me as) and love to drink for the flavours, textures and richness of different alcohol's not just to get drunk.
Also...if you are coming to meet me, you had better have a good joke ready!!!...dirty, clean, even if its the most stupid one you've ever heard...i want to hear it!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music, my life...without my tunes i would go insane. My MP3 player is running whenever i am awake. Even when i'm at work in the bar, i plug it into the amplifier and play my music over the speakers. Some of my favourite artists include TOOL, A Perfect Circle, The Butterfly Effect, Deep Dish, The Mars Volta, Tiesto, Massive Attack, Emilyana Torini, Muse, Pearl Jam, Paul Oakenfold, Dub Pistols, Amy Whinehouse, Hilltop Hoods, Karnivool, The Doors, Eric Clapton, Led Zepplin and so many more. I like almost all kinds of music, from alternative rock to jazz, or hard trance to classical and alot of house music as well. I have a great appreciation for many generes and styles.
Movies...all time favourite 'Hudson Hawk'...others include Donnie Darko, Resivior Dogs, Lock Stock, Go, Human Traffic, Ace Ventura 1&2 and numerous art house films.

Something as simple as a smile has such powerful potential. I enjoy the power and simplicity of a smile so much. It can make you laugh, it can make you cry, it can make a situation of utter hopelessness seem not so bad. It can change the course of someone’s day, make stress easier to deal with and stop one person yelling at another person and…well, you can see how the effect can snowball down from there.
