About Me
Hello!
My name is Stuart. I am a teacher and freelance musician living in the beautiful city of Melbourne, Australia. I am a calm yet bubbly soul with a lot of energy for life and I love sharing that with the people that visit my country as well as those who are kind enough to host me. I am such a lover of cooking and creating memories over food. I could drink 3000 cups of tea in a day, and no, there is never a limit on cake. I am also very into meditation and I love yoga, and whilst I do value sharing and being more extroverted in expressing myself, I do value solitude and enjoying a few quiet moments with myself. I am a very respectful, clean individual who always tidies up after myself and I always try to conscious and aware of my surroundings and environment when it comes to people’s homes. When it comes to hosting, I love showing people around my city and creating lasting memories and experiences with like-minded individuals. There’s just so much to do in Melbourne!
Yay you’re still reading!
At home and abroad I am also vegan, which means I do not consume any animals or animal products for ethical and environmental reasons :) This includes meat, dairy (milk, butter, cream, yoghurt, cheese) and eggs. It’s a very wholistic belief which I love to share in a kind considerate manner with my hosts and guests. I am MORE than happy to cook you some delicious vegan food! :D Lots of love and hope to meet soon ️

Music, Movies, and Books
For an actual musician, I feel like I have a pretty terrible playlist. That being said, if I was to put on a pot of tea or start cooking something delicious 🥘, I would always listen to these guys:
Estas Tonne (Ukrainian)
Joseph Tawadros (Egyptian/Australian)
Ludovico Einaudi (Italian)
My movie playlist is far worse than my music playlist, so I’ll have to keep thinking on this one!
I wouldn’t say I’m a book worm, but I find so much comfort and pleasure in getting lost in a good read. For me, I like an author that can challenge their readers, and really immerse their audience into their own reality, either fictitious or not. I almost always feel the need to have a cup of tea and a biscuit to accompany my novel and that old bookshops smell divine.
Favourite are so hard to decide, but if I had to give a short list:
1984’ by George Orwell
‘Three Cups of Tea’ by Greg Mortensen
‘A Problem from Hell’ by Samanther Power
‘Danger Music’ by Eddie Ayres
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Bungee-jumping in Nepal in 2015.
- 10 silent retreat in Vipassana meditation both in 2015 and 2017.
- Curated, programmed, organised and performed in a concert to raise funds for the Melbourne-based charity Asylum Seeker Resource Centre which implements vital programs and support for Australian refugees and asylum seekers.
- Solo travelled to almost 20 countries over 10 months in 2018
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to get excited about food shopping and how to read music. The way I like to express and share myself with this community is by cooking and exchanging ideas and energy. I can cook you a beautiful home-made meal and we can get to know one another :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
