ABOUT ME

I was still in diapers the first time I traveled abroad, and although I may have left behind my baby clothes long ago, I have not abandoned my love of traveling. Since then I have lived on three continents (North America, Europe, Asia) and visited over 25 countries. What keeps me going is that thrill of arriving in a new place, with new people to meet, places to be seen, and adventures to be had. But for me, HOME will always be the funky Northwest corner of the U.S., where there is a nice balance between nature and urban, fun and work. I studied history in school, but my real passion is working on social justice issues. Always down for a good discussion on history or politics, but I also enjoy talking pop culture and sports. Oh, yeah, I guess I also like to have a good time :)

I've realized while traveling that it is not necessarily the place I'm in that makes or breaks a trip, but the people I'm sharing it with. Although I'm relatively new to Couchsurfing, I am looking forward to meeting and engaging with new people from diverse backgrounds.
