About Me

I enjoy running, being outdoors, and golf as well as rugby and football and sport in general. There is a freakish amount of good bars and restaurants in our area, so I like taking advantage of that too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first found this site about 10 years ago as a student and loved the idea. Unfortunately, at that time I was not in a position to host and was not brave enough to couch surf myself.

After a fair amount of travel when I was a student, the extended trips have slowed for now, but meeting people from all over the world is definitely still high on the agenda!

I love Glasgow as a city, and feel really settled. Hosting guests would provide the opportunity to show off some of this great city.

Interests

Any sports, top 3 are probably football, rugby and golf.

Almost any music and TV shows and always open to new ideas and saying yes to opportunities!

Music, Movies, and Books

Very flexible, but have a heavy US influence from summers abroad. Folk, blues, americana, country. To name drop some artists; Kings of Leon, Nathiel Rateliff, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers... too many to note.

Some books: anything by Luke Smithered, I am Pilgrim, Unlock Ultra, Eat & Run, The Mandibles, The Graveyard Book, 1984... these are just recent ones...

Rich Roll Podcast needs a shout out too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tribe West - a road trip throughout the west coast of the US in 2009 and 2011. These trips were 2 of the 5 summers I worked at Indian Head Camp, which overall I would have to credit as being the most transformational periods of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

The other side of discomfort and nerves is comfort and confidence.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not that relevant for now - no plans to surf myself.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
