About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To just go everywhere, see everything, do everything, meet everyone
ABOUT ME
My one main aim is to just go everywhere and do/see as much as possible, regardless of how rich/poor I am, how basic my living standards get or how adverse anything is.
I don't just want a great big holiday, I want to totally immerse myself in everything, because, I know it's a very common saying but, variety REALLY is the spice of life.
I say that my level of work and education is totally unimportant because I think it's the worst way imaginable of measuring someone. I totally rate people on their intelligence, capability, how they fill their time, etc, but specified occupations and school grades mean absolutely nothing about the person you are.
PHILOSOPHY
Totally screw the way you are told to do things and the way you are expected to do them. I'd say 'fuck the system' but that's too overused and has become a bit meaningless. Although it does still make every bit of sense. I know it's utopian but I wish everyone in the world could just be nice to each other... It's a shame so many people feel a sense of division thanks to something as simple and unjustified as the decision of their leaders, or their religion, or a clash of cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I'm only travelling, but when I return home and sort out a place to live, I'll take it from there as a host!

Interests
I take interest in what's going on in the world, particularly things which leave you with a general sense of wonder, amazement or even insignificance. For example, I find it amazing that, while sitting here right now, there are tribes in the Amazon rainforest which still have not ever had any form of contact with the advanced world they live in. They are right now sat there, tending to crops, building huts, hunting etc and have no idea I'm here with all this technology around me. Similarly I like being reminded of how amazingly unimportant we are, in that we are one species in a vast, vast, VAST universe with BILLIONS of planets. It's amazing!
But I suppose aside from that, on a personal level, I like to just do things, I move on quite quickly from place to place, and I know everyone does it but I like trying to take good photos to show, in as few shots as possible, the people and places I am in.
I also like to feel as if I'm properly 'doing something', as opposed to just shuttling along from tourist site to tourist site, so if I can think of something a bit more interesting then I'll do it.
