About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In the past couple of years, I have not traveled much because I was busy renovating a couple of houses. Now I am finally ready to start traveling again! My mission is to continue traveling the world and learning from different cultures.

ABOUT ME

Traveling to see different parts of the world is awesome and something I plan to do more of.

I have already visited Ukraine two times and am returning this month for another visit.

After the first few months of 2014, I decided to move from Austin Texas to Lima so I bought a one-way ticket to Peru. I wanted to test myself to see if I could work remotely from another country. I lived there and worked my business successfully for the entire three months. I have been wanting to be able to do that for so long!

I have plugged into the CS community events after being on the site for several years.

I have attended cs events in Dallas, Austin, Houston, Peru, Paris, Ukraine and Estonia and have met some awesome people.

It's always great meeting people and learning about new cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love traveling and attending CS events. Traveling the world in the next five years CS style sounds like fun! I look forward to meeting other free spirited travelers through CS2.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My father was a history professor and we always traveled around the country during the summer time. We visited friends and relatives everywhere and often stayed on their couches.

I connect with CS members everywhere I go and always have amazing experiences making new friends.

I am looking forward to continued adventures together.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests and activities that I enjoy. From backpacking, fishing or skiing to enjoying a cup of mint tea, walking on the beach or catching a movie you may catch me anywhere. Most importantly I enjoy activity with great company.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most types of music depending on my mood. Music is so important to me that it was part of my early career goal. Most of the books I read are for informational purposes to reach a certain goal. Right now I am reading The Code of the Extraordinary Mind. Great book!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have visited many beautiful locations and look forward to seeing many more. One of my most amazing experiences was a backpacking trip into Copper Canyon of Sierra Madre Mexico. This is home for the Tarahumaran indians.

The indians still live in these inaccessible canyons, inhabiting the numerous overhangs and caves in a vast network of rivers and tributaries. Visiting was like going back in time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy exchanging stories and experiences with people that help us to learn and become better. I have learned a few tricks along the way that have saved me from terrible pain.

On my last journey I had been living in Dominican republic and traveled back to Austin Texas for business. That weekend and I had a toothache that became really bad.

I have long believed in natural healing although for some reason I never thought it applied to teeth but the pain was killer and I needed to find some way to change that so I started researching and tried a few natural solutions.

It turns out clove oil was the winner for killing the infection pain immediately and something called oil pulling helped in amazing ways as well.

There are many subjects I enjoy but Staying healthy is probably one of the most important. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle and always learning more about things like natural healing and vegetarian lifestyles with people who are interested in the same.
