Putting roots down in NZ; co-managing a yoga studio in Auckland, working in the outdoors industry and play the odd gig at a bar for fun/side-hustle.

ABOUT ME

I'm Stu - love to live life and experience new things. I play guitar and always love to jam with others. I practice a lot of yoga at the moment as I co-manage a yoga studio, called Kanuka Yoga Space in Auckland. If the surfs up then you'll find me out in the water.
Friendly, easy to get along with, love to network, socialise and generally have a good time.

Everybody needs a couch, or a friendly face every once in a while.
I've hosted, and surfed many times and understand it's power.
It always astounds me the generous nature of people I meet whilst on the road - really inspires me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

'Southern hospitality' is really a things - best experiences in North Florida!
Hosted in NZ and Canada - meet for coffee's in Melbourne Australia, but haven't had a home big enough to host for the last year and a half.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled over 13,000 miles around the USA in a van with my girlfriend - over 33 states and over 13 national parks - among other super awesome experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

Work for NZs biggest outdoors retailer (Torpedo7) at their head office in Auckland. Interested in tech and how that is evolving.
Try to learn something new everyday.
Sharing is great - that's why I'm on Couchsurfing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an experienced guitarist so if anyone is keen to learn something while they stay they are more than welcome.
Learning Spanish so really want to (try) chat with people when I can - I suck right now but with enough time...
