ABOUT ME
Well, I like fishing and just generally enjoying life, socializing with people, eating good food, experiencing new things and cultures. Sights and smells, simple things in life like smiles. I am fortunate to have good friends and family, and prefer to surround myself with good people.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind to others and good things will happen to you. Live one day at a time, in the moment works best. Work hard, play hard. I think it is important to keep an open mind, and not judge others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Offering a bed and couch, and looking for couches to surf!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well, my first experience wasn't fantastic. Got a smelly kid who sat on my couch with headphones on the whole time, downloading movies and bringing my internet connection to a crawl. Easy to beat that!
Interests
Fishing! My favorite things to do are fish and travel. I love being on the move experiencing new things, it's what keeps me happy. I like tapping into the universe's power, there are many ways to do it like Reiki or Amadeus, sounds flaky to some but I think it's pretty cool!
Trying to get better at Spanish right now. Please help! ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many favorite movies but these stand out: The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, and The Groove Tube. Comedy and Action/Adventure are my favorite movie genres. There are really too many to list.
For music I like most everything except country, polka, and bagpipes. I guess bagpipes would be alright if there was more than 3 songs played on them. Maybe. Accordians are the bomb.
My favorite books: Robinson Crusoe, The Power of One - I like non-fiction and don't read many books but usually end up reading several hours a day, mostly news and stuff online. When I start a book I usually don't put it down until I fall asleep. I read a lot of news online and not many books, for books I like non-fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If you can believe it, the most amazing experience in my life was standing in a crowd of 1 million people (estimated) in Sevilla, Spain a few days after a top politician and his wife were murdered a few blocks from my house (ok sounds morbid so far... there's more). The crowd was a march of a "manifestation of peace" where many people wore white gloves or had white chalk or paint on their hands. They all marched along until they reached the square I was in, being tall and standing on a curb I had a perfect view of everything, everyone was clapping a certain rhythm, until the end of this sequence everyone just clapped fast. The positive energy overwhelmed me and I have never had such a wave of positive emotion envelop me like that before. AMAZING.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you: how to catch a fish, how to clean a fish, how to cook a fish, how to eat a fish - all in that order. Do you have a couple hours or more?
I want to learn Spanish. Well, I know some, but it has been a long time since I have spoken it and it's mostly gone. I want to immerse myself in Spanish.
I know a lot of stuff about stuff, I can tell you when making a wooden wheel the spokes need to be put in at 6 degrees from the hub to the outside of the wheel. But ask me the name of that song and I am lost. ;-)
I could (maybe) teach you things about: Fishing (did I mention fishing yet?), Programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ActionScript, PHP, MySQL), Graphic Design, Cooking, Camping Tips, Relationships, and more...
