About Me

CURRENT MISSION

takes all kinds to make a world

ABOUT ME

I try to live after my two favorite bonmots: "Be curious, not judgmental." and "Takes all kinds to make a world." - It's all about the live-and-let-live!

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy yourself and be kind to others!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had to move a lot during the last two years, so could not host as much as I wanted to... Currently, I'm busy writing my doctoral thesis and traveling a lot to conferences and to see friends, but I try to host in the meantime!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed with a house full of people in Los Angeles in September 2010. We got on so well, I lived there for a couple of months! Isn't that amazing? I loved my roomies, but I would have never found them was it not for CS...

Interests

travelling, being with interesting and open-minded people. I enjoy cinema, theatre, concerts, sailing, yoga, languages, getting to know new cultures (and there's always many - even in one society...).
For several years now, I've been absolutely fascinated by Iran and its people which are so different to how they are portrayed by the media. I've been to Iran and thoroughly enjoyed the cultures, the landscape, the food, the hospitality,... maybe civilization has been 'invented' in Iran after all, which is what they claim ;)
