ABOUT ME

Family man.

I have been in education for 16 years, currently running my own business. I am not sure where I am heading next, but education is a big field and life has always provided so I'm not overly worried.

I do enjoy traveling, but not in the sightseeing sense. I prefer to settle somewhere, learn the language, live off the economy and have relationships. Any sightseeing I do is usually at museums, concerts and bars.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to enjoy booking fancy hotels for the buffets and pretty smelling shampoos; after hosting and surfing a few times I'm a changed man.

Now that I am in a new place, I look forward to using this organization to meet new people and learn about the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, the surfers I've encountered have been truly unique individuals. They have entertained and inspired.

It's important to me that I get to know my host if possible. I'm not in it for the free ride. I'd like to make a connection.

In terms of music, it's totally a time and place kinda thing. If I've enjoyed myself, I will enjoy relistening to the music that was playing at the time in order to bring me back. If I have to name names: Talking Heads, Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, Four Tet, Sigur Ros, Outkast, The Heligoats, Kanye West, How to Dress Well, Sinkane, Phish, and Radiohead.
