About Me

IT Professional living in Melbourne. Travelling Europe, parts of middle east in Aug/Sep/Oct 19.

I am taking a career break after 12 years of rat race in corporate world. I have travelled a bit but this is my first time backpacking. So excited to do this!

Things I am looking fwd to:
1) Making lots of friends during my travels
2) Exploring local culture, music, food wherever I go with locals
3) Uncertainty - I am not used to this (will be an experience for me! For example - I dont know which country I will be in a month from now!
4) Money management - money has never been a consideration in my previous travels but this time it is different. Again hoping to get an education out of this adventure!
5) A better understanding of the world we live in!

This is my first time on couchsurfing as well. I am obviously here to find ppl who can host me (point 4) but more importantly this is such a great way to meet locals but also fellow travellers! If you host me, I will make sure I follow the rules and when I am back in Melbourne will surely host you if you ever come down to the land down under!

I am a pretty decent guy who used to work hard but party harder! Earn a good living (used to). Live in a pretty good apartment in Melbourne. Have lots of friends. Love meeting ppl, can talk for long on random topics but also stay quiet when the situation demands, can dance all night long, and next day still be up to go explore local culture, art, history, architecture!

SOME GREAT QUOTES THAT I HOLD DEAR TO MY HEART AND MY MIND!

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. - Gandhi

An unexamined life is not worth living - Socrates

nAanu hOdare hOdenu (If I let go of my ego/sense of self, I could goto heaven) - Kanakadasa

Imagination is more important than knowledge - Einstein

The mind is everything. What you think you become. - Buddha

My meditation is simple. It does not require any complex practices. It is simple. It is singing. It is dancing. It is sitting silently - Osho

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many that it is hard to narrow down! "Amazing" is relative and based on your outlook of life, even a great night out with good mates can be just as amazing as solo travel to remote parts of the world. I have done both and find both amazing.

Oh ya! Something unique and life changing experience and equally amazing was my experience building a school in Nepal. Here's the blog : https://travelisliving.school.blog/
