About Me

CURRENT MISSION

the great freedom experiment - how free is too free?

ABOUT ME

i consider myself to be a sensitive and tolerant person, almost to a fault. i believe everyone's perspective is valid according to their values, which are inherently unique. i appreciate patience and understanding and don't tolerate bigotry or arrogance. my loves are music, wordplay, satire, soccer, baseball, and games of almost any sort. i have a wonderful and supportive family, which is my greatest asset. i am at a point in my life where i am eager to experience new activities and cultures, and am grateful to have the opportunity to do so.

PHILOSOPHY

-love and forgive everyone, whether or not they deserve it. you may never know how they got to where they are, or why they have done what they have, but in all likelihood they had reason to believe that they were doing right. this doesn't mean that hurtful actions should go unpunished, but one should always try to attain understanding and let go of hatred, which is poisonous.
-there is beauty all around you, you just have to look for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i am willing to host surfers traveling to my town, unlikely as it is to attract tourists.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have surfed briefly with four different hosts while i was backpacking through europe. all of my experiences were positive, and everyone i've met so far through couchsurfing has been very cool.
