ABOUT ME

I'm a middle school teacher. Spent 2 years in Puerto Rico teaching, and now am in my 2nd year teaching in Guatemala. I like running, hiking and exploring, seeing new sights, board games and silliness, cooking and baking, and planning adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

"Dreams stay dreams if you let them." Anything is possible if you set your mind to it, so I'm going places and doing things I once thought I'd never be able to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed twice now, and both experiences were great. I really enjoyed getting to know my hosts and learning a little bit more about the areas they lived. I've hosted a couple of times, and I'm looking forward to hopefully hosting more in the future!

Interests

I love exploring: from beaches to mountain paths and everywhere in between. I spend my weekdays at school, and my weeknights running, grading papers, and relaxing. My weekends? Out on the the town, traveling, or having adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
2. Riding a gondola in Venice as a little boy leaned out of a 2nd floor window practicing his violin.
3. Watching the sun rise over Old San Juan from a hot tub on the roof of my hotel.
