About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Live, love, learn, laugh!

ABOUT ME
Doing Life2.0. Missing my grown daughter and hundreds of students but love following new dreams and meeting people, especially those from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences. I am passionate about ideas that work for the whole planet and all beings, including plants and animals (IMO gray matter and opposable thumbs have given us undeserved and ill-used advantages).

My ultimate utopia would probably be a dome home or treehouse on a solar-powered hemp, bamboo and mushroom farm in the company of artists, healers and musicians :)

I didn't vote for Trump or Hillary.

PHILOSOPHY
"We are all stories in the end. Just make it a good one." - Dr. Who
"In my dream the angel shrugged and said if we fail this time it will be a failure of imagination.....and then she placed the world gently in the palm of my hand." - Brian Anders

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly hosting and local surfing, though my goal is to surf Europe, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Australia, Iceland,, Costa Rica, the islands of the South Pacific and New Zealand. I learned about it from my daughter and have encouraged my students to join. I have attended some group events, and I spread the word and dispell misconceptions every chance I get. I'd probably make a good ambassador!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
“There is no reason why good cannot triumph as often as evil. The triumph of anything is a matter of organization." - Kurt Vonnegut. Couchsurfing is one such organization. IMO it is doing more for world peace than any church, institution, governmental agency or international program. Exposure to other cultures through personal interactions will hopefully help our society evolve beyond racism, capitalism, nationalism, sexism, xenophobia, religiosity and fear of "otherness.".

Interests

QUESTION EVERYTHING! I love learning, especially where there is mystery, magic and paradox involved:
math, geometry, noetic sciences, crop circles, quantum physics, outdoor sports, gardening, sustainable practices, ecopsychology, spiritual ecology, ethnobotany, free energy, art, shamanism, shape-shifting and sourcery.....

Update: Summer 2016 went to Prague and Germany, Summer 2017 went to Iceland, France and UK (Crop Circle Country!!)

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES - I am a cable binge-watcher, love sci-fi, dramadies, mysteries, anything psychologically, scientifically or philosophically interesting; LOST, Lost in Space, The Handmaid's Tale, This is Us, Mozart in the Jungle, Black Mirror, Mr. Robot, Fringe, Mad Men, Dr. Who, Firefly, The Wire, OITNB, Orphan Black. Fave Movies: Captain Fantastic, 5th Element, Matrix, Minority Report, What Dreams May Come, Another Earth, Sliding Doors, The Fountain, The Tree of Life, Frequency, I Heart the Huckabees, Sliding Doors, The Last Mimzy, The Truman Show, Gatica, Caprica, Limitless, Source Code, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Smilla's Sense of Snow, Arrival..... NO commercial TV.

MUSIC is food! Rock, chill, lounge, trance, down-tempo techno, ambient, meditative, world fusion, Indie, anything with soul-stirring or cerebral lyrics. Pandora and Spotify are permanent entries on my Gratitude List. And downtown Stuart and West Palm often have surprisingly good live music!

BOOKS are my TARDIS. I have over 4000 - lots of metaphysics, spirituality, forensic anthropology, design, gardening, math, literature and gender studies. Recently reading works by Elizabeth Gilbert, Llyn Roberts, Buckminster Fuller, Daniel Quinn, John C. Lilly and Victor Schauberger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(I am choosing to ignore "One") I raised my daughter Sandy from birth as a single mom. When she was twelve we went to Hawaii and swam with wild dolphins, hiked across hot lava fields of an active volcano, dove in Blue Diamond Cave, snorkeled with turtles, soared over Waimea Canyon in a helicopter, and explored sacred sites. She has had many travel adventures of her own and often goes solo - she is the most courageous, beautiful and amazing being I know! I have attended incredible Sacred Geometry and Alchemy classes in Prague and Iceland. We explored glaciers, hot rivers and waterfalls on a land that looks like a moss-covered black moonscape where the sun never set. I have been in phenomenological crop circles in Tennessee, Berlin and the UK. Five times I have predicted crop circle designs that later appeared (I have witnesses and written proof of four). I have seen UFOs five times.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Meditation, math, mysticism, metaphysics.

Learn: all about you - your people, your land and your stories :)

Share: Kayaks, paddleboards, bike, walks, trampoline, hammocks, herbal tea, coffee, wine, books, 🔥 pit, books, sunsets, cats and company.....

What I Can Share with Hosts

My time.....maybe. I work for myself and have a fluctuating schedule. I often travel to see clients or I might need quiet for a couple hours if I have an appointment at my home/office. Sometimes I'm superbusy and can't hang out but will help with plans and directions. Other times I am free for an adventure......
