About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore, create, contribute, relate deeply, be surprised, be curious

ABOUT ME

Hmmm. Interested in depth, meaning, fun, creativity, being able to contribute to a better life for others.

I am an artist - paintings and ceramics - usually about the feminine. I run an improvisation group and embodied wisdom and play. I am in a social justice choir that sings in world languages.

I am also a researcher and educator - I do research and big picture thinking for wicked problems, helping individuals and groups, facilitating learning and designing learning programs.... For example around diversity and relationships. I am interested in action research and holistic education. My phd was called integrating science and soul in education, so very interested in integrating spiritual and holistic together with the prevailing paradigm.

Current hobbies are kayaking and large organic veggie gardening.

I have finished writing book 1 of a young adult fiction and looking for any help on the next steps towards publishing.

I also tune into nature and work with earth energies, and keen to share experiences and sensings.

PHILOSOPHY

I am an eternal soul in a body in an extraordinary moment of time.... I am the eye of the universe applauding....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer hosting as part of a "pay it forward" philosophy - being grateful to the many kind people that welcomed me into their homes and helped me feel at home when I was young and living in a foreign country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We only host females - one person at a time only. We prefer someone who might be in Tasmania for a while, perhaps on a working visa or a project where we might build a longer term relationship and they are looking for a feeling of home and being with people who care. They might stay with us a couple of times between "jobs." They come to chill out, feel part of a family. We are still in contact with many of our guests and some come back and visit when in Tasmania.

We appreciate it when guests help around the house and garden and if we have time we might go on excursions together to special places. It has been pleasure to share part of our lives, and learn about cultures, and where possible to help network and connect into other opportunities here.

We would not suit anyone who is just looking for a base as part of a whirlwind visit of Tasmania.
