About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life as it is, with all its ups and downs

ABOUT ME

I'm open-minded, friendly and empathetic person. At first I might seem a little bit shy and reserved, but I really enjoy people's company and I am easy to get along with. I am really fascinated by the life and the human nature. I believe that every person has something unique to bring into the world and that is why I love meeting new people.

I feel constant need to challenge myself by putting myself into the new situations and stepping outside my comfort zone. I am also quite an idealist, who would like to make the world a better place and who has hard time confronting her personal value system with the reality.

PHILOSOPHY

Pursue your dreams, don't allow other people or your fears to hold you down. Stay true to yourself and your values. Treat other beings the way you would like to be treated. Try to enjoy the life as it is and stop analyzing too much :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment as a surfer, but I hope that someday I will be able to host other surfers as well

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've been couchsurfing in Hamburg, Brussels, Rotterdam and Berlin. Wonderful people and woderful experience! :)

Interests

I am really passionate about music - I can't really imagine my life without it. I am addicted to concerts and I am constantly in a chase for new (yet undiscovered but extremely worth of listening to) bands and tunes. I'm also trying my best to learn how to play electric guitar. At the moment I also write reviews for an alternative music website.

My other interests oscillates around the issue of so-called social awareness. I am interested in how different communities and societes deal with their lives in daily basis. I am fascinated by other cultures and I really would like to get to know them better, by learning about them as well as experiencing in reality.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - definitely too much to be mentioned! :) Mostly trip hop, post rock, garage rock, grunge, world inspired music. To name a few bands/ artists who have recently won my heart: Low Roar, Fever Ray, We Fell To Earth, If These Trees Could Talk, Hol Baumann, Asian Dub Foundation, A Place to Bury Strangers, The White Birch, Yppah, White Noise Sound, Sleep Party People..

Movies - Huge fan of Xavier Dolan works - "J'ai tue ma mere" and "Heartbeats"; documentary movies and "30 days" series by Morgan Spurlock; scandinavian movies such as: "Evil", "Fucking Amal", "Frocken Sverige"

Books - the one that recently has impressed me the most is the "Report from the Brave New World" by Gunter Wallraff. I also enjoy other reportages (such as those written by Polish reporter Jacek Hugo - Bader), works of Haruki Murakami and collection of essays by Jeremy Clarkson (although I mostly don't agree with his opinions, I find his sarcastic style very amusing)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one thing that I consider a turning point in my live, was the lonely trip to Barcelona which I undertook almost two years ago. During those couple of days I overcame my shyness and the fear of doing something on my own. I gained confidence in myself, became more independent and I acquired the ability of making new friends. This trip changed my life, it awakened in me the need to experience all those amazing cultures, places and people living in there.

Teach, Learn, Share

As long as my skills will allow me to do that, I will be happy to share some of my passions with you! I could give you some language lessons or share my knowledge about architecture and architectural graphic programs. If you are interested I could also introduced you to the vegetarian cuisine, since I am vegetarian and I love to cook. I will be happy to learn something about your local cuisine as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
