I'm an open source lowtech designer. Essentially I design and tutorialise things that people can make themselves from recycled materials which allow them to generate their own energy, purify water, cook, communicate, etc.

I've recently been travelling through Central and South America, looking to collaborate with people and projects in terms of helping to design, build, and maintain the things they want and need, using what they have. I'm also working to build an open source network, tying together various initiatives who are in the process of developing new social and environmental approaches and practices.

I was one of the earlier people on CS, heard about it in the startup days from a flatmate in Vancouver who was mates with one of the developers.
