About Me

ABOUT ME

My best friend would say I'm the most hilarious person she knows, but humor is subjective after all. Others would say I'm an open person, who likes to go places and meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking a trip to Europe in the fall and I want to enjoy places from the perspective of people who know them. I'm not a fan of organized tours, or hotels, or just the main tourist sites. I would like to have a look at the quirks of the places I visit.

Interests

I love to read, give me a good book any day of the week. When travelling my favorite thing is to see the local architecture, I have a particular love for religious buildings, whether it be churches, synagogues, or mosques. I love sitting down at a cafe with friends and spending a few hours drinking good coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Lucky Number Slevin, Avengers, Amelie

Music: Everything and in between, but listening to a lot of Lumineers and Goo Goo Dolls lately

Books: Everyday is for the Thief, Rubaiyat, American Gods, anything by Tamora Pierce

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love art history so an experience that left me awestruck was visiting the Louvre in Paris, I could have spent my entire week in France just walking through it, unfortunately I only had a few hours.
Recently I went to Byblos in Lebanon, there are the remains of an entire castle city that sits right on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. It was beautiful and amazing to think about what ancient civilizations were capable of. I spent the day walking around the ruins imagining all the people who had walked there before me - very humbling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm open and friendly, always willing to meet new people and learn about them and their lives. I hope to meet people over Couchsurf that I can stay in touch with and meet again someday down the road.
