Overview
About Me
hi all ! i am a recent graduate of NUNM for naturopathic medicine, and currently working in the realm of mental health and non-ordinary states of consciousness! I am active, world traveler, extroverted at times, and silly. Originally from the Midwest, I have sure been enjoying all the PNW has to offer. In Portland, I like to farm with my friends (we started a pandemic farm), bike, play tennis, get out of the city for camping, snowboarding, and hiking. I’m also a Vipassana meditator and yogi, artist and author, and animal lover.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first couchsurfed while living in and traveling through South Korea. My travel buddy was a couchsurfing-pro and she got me hooked. Now couchsurfing is my preferred mode of travel--I love meeting people who live in the communities I visit and getting to have such unique experiences. From cooking pizzas in a wood-fired pizza oven in Paris to camping trips in the Dominican Republic to overnight trains in China with now lifelong friends... I cannot think of a better way to share the human experience than sharing insight into the unique ways we inhabit this planet .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
in india, my fellow travelers and i were invited into a family's wedding ceremony while we were wandering around a beautiful temple. two young girls approached us and in their broken english told us it was their aunt getting married and their family would like it if we joined them. first we were invited into their wedding portrait. next, we were beckoned to their lunch reception. after that, we were invited into the family's home..it was incredible.. who invites strangers to share their special day? especially those who have so little by our standards... i learned so much that day.
Teach, Learn, Share
"If we thought of life as a gift, we might not demand nearly as much from it. And if we lived more graciously, giving of ourselves more freely to the well-being of others, many of our personal concerns would disappear, and life would become easier for all." -Lowell C. Bennion
