ABOUT ME
I'm an only child born into a large suburb of Ohio, where I never really felt at home. As soon as I was able to I moved to the city, and I've been much happier since. I'm quite open-minded. I can be shy at times, so depending on my mood I'll either open up right away or be a bit quiet at first. I generally like most people as long as they aren't mean-spirited or ignorant to the point of no return. I feel like there's something to learn from everyone, and I love getting to know new people. I believe strongly in sincerity, empathy and honesty.
PHILOSOPHY
“One can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things, and happy in small ways.”
― Lemony Snicket, The Penultimate Peril
"Always treat others as ends in themselves and never merely as means."
-Kant
"From here on out, I am only interested in what is real. Real people, real feelings, that's it, that's all I'm interested in." -ironically Russell Hammond says this in Almost Famous
"Who put such a high premium on being typical?" -Almost Famous

Music, Movies, and Books
I love garage rock, indie rock, classic rock, folk, soul, psychedelic, shoegaze, and a touch of hip-hop. Some of my favorite bands are the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Best Coast, Anika, Caribou, and The Velvet Underground.
I love all kinds of movies, especially indies. Some of my favorites: The Names of Love, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Almost Famous, My Girl & My Girl 2, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Amelie to name a few.
Some of my favorite books: Brave New World, War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning, The Virgin Suicides, and A Million Little Pieces.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When an employer was trying to take away part of our promised benefits I spearheaded a march-in to our boss' office, which resulted in us keeping our promised benefits.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love giving people advice when it comes to almost anything, especially fashion and relationships. I'm always looking to learn something new. I'm pretty much an open book, so if there's anything you'd like to know just ask.
