ABOUT ME

I'm a very laid back 23 year old girl, who works and lives to travel. I own a home in Salt Lake City - where I live with my husband Jake, our chow Koda & lab/pit Max, & three kitties. I'm trying to live one day at a time & be the happiest I can be.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal bible/life philosophy comes directly from the poem Desiderata, by Max Ehrmann. Its so perfect & beautiful. Here, I'll share it:

DESIDERATA

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand new to couch-surfing, but hope to meet a ton of rad people who have the same love of traveling as I do. I do have a house, as I've mentioned & would love to house 1 or 2 travelers. I do only have one couch at the moment. So one of the two would probably want a sleeping bag/mat or something. :)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love most music. I'm not a big fan of people screaming at the top of their lungs, or yelling. Other than that, I'm open to anything. I do however prefer folk/acoustic music, with lyrics that I feel I can relate to.
As far as books go, I'm currently reading "The Omnivores Dilemma" by Michael Pollan. I've become very interested in the diets of humans these days. I also love David Sedaris, Jodi Picoult, Augusten Burroughs, and many many others.

In the future, I plan to own a no-kill animal shelter. I'd love to be able to help animals, as I've been in the healthcare field for quite some time, and (sorry to say) I am getting sick of patients that can speak. ha! Plus, my love for animals - of course.

I would love to teach/go for a lovely longboard ride with a lovely couch-surfer friend. I have many boards. I'll share! :D
