About Me

Hi there! I’m Su, South Korean traveling around the world to find the place to settle down one day.

I grew up in Daegu, the 4th largest city of Korea. Going on to university, I moved to Seoul and lived there for 8 years. I studied linguistics, literature and anthropology in the uni. Since Seoul is a really populated city, (with 10million people... not a joke) I’ve always been wanting to have chilled time in small town. Therefore upon leaving school I spent an amazing working-holiday year in Ireland and Dublin became my adorable second home-city.
After that golden year I traveled Europe and Africa for 8 months on my own, which was the best thing I've done in my 20s.
In 2018 I started another long journey out of my home country. I spent 1 year in Australia, and traveled South East Asia until pandemic hits the world. And then I moved to Gothenburg, Sweden for 1 year and traveled Balkan for 3 months. Currently I am working and traveling in NZ. I love it very much so far and am looking forward to many more adventures in this beautiful country.

I'm not that big party-person, that being said, I like to hang out and drink sometimes.
I have met a lot of amazing guys through CS. They gave me great impressions and I hope to meet many more.

I love reading, cycling, learning languages, hiking, camping, scuba diving, tea and coffee, authentic cuisines, pets and wild animals. I support local activists. I dislike the people who are in any way prejudice (against any race, gender or sexual orientation).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back in 2013, I traveled Russia for a month. That was the first time I join CS. I met super nice hosts by CS, and I could make new friends who are enthusiastic and sincere in their lives. Couchsurfing encourages us to be our best selves: giving and sharing what we can. Every couch I've surfed left a beautiful imprint on me.

Interests

I think getting new experience is one of the most important thing for life. I like the moment when people show their passion about what they like and what they live for.

also my interests: local street food, language, woodwork, cycling, swimming, scuba diving, Thai boxing...
Also recently opened my eyes to climbing/bouldering

trying to do my best for low waste lifestyle.
