Overview
About Me
*** i will have been travelling Jeju for a week since 25th of Nov..
A wandering traveller, always floating on hunger for exploring another parts of the world. I love walking in fresh air and being surrounded by the nature. I'm eager to capture right moments of writing, photographing, making a deep talk, and doing things artistic n creative. I am also fond of reading, watching movies, being fascinated in other culture, and cooking n eating nice food with someone good to share..., and really crazy all around art or literature, fish, sea, and also desert, maybe soon volcanoes coming too...
I'd like to get good chances of couchsurfing to make local friends and join and feel the local live culture. I want to make myself a deep-wide amazing world through my exploration crossing over the world.
I 'm also willing to be a host for couch surfers to make new friends from another sides of the world, to share many amazing things around our times, cultures, travels, lives or something more good. I would try to accept someone at my place in a heartbeat, who has her/his own stylish passion and deep/warm point of view on life and this world.
Hopefully I could meet as many nice people as I can and get serendipitous opportunities during my life.
*** The age above is not mine. I do not want age to appeal any points of me, and I am old enough to like to forget my age.***
Mission : Exploring builds up an amazing life on me.
Being the light of my soul.
Beyond borders, against barriers, and across the universe
Let the moment seize you and me.
Do all magic in me to make myself no boundaries, then a beautiful world.
Do and love something else right away whatever I really want to, or I find of it to, before Typhoon sinks everything out of blue.
"Dream on(by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler)", "Feeling my way through the darkness"(-'Wake me up' by Avicci) "Step on, Move on, & Dream on."(after 2000km mission clear on my own)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a surfer: I would like to taste, explore, and learn live culture with local people while i am travelling there. I do not like to feel of being tourist in a hostel or guesthouse in a strange place. I expect a lot to hold big luck for serendipity, global friendship bond, enjoyable exchanges or shares of culture, personal interests, experiences and deep N comfortable conversations through couchsurfing.
As a host : I would like to share good experiences or advantages of C.S.. N I believe that C.S is one of the best gates to make global friends between strangers. I am willing to share or exchange with my surfer as many things as i can. .. food, drinks, languages, laughter, walking around the city or hiking, cooking or recipes, gallery crawl, n talks... BUT for most of my hosting, I'd like to host someone who has got something special taste or style with their lives, who I could have some reasonable understanding from a request, not at all selfish but focusing on sharing, and who tries seriously to be a good CS member as a surfer and also a host.
*** I won't accept 'a friend request' on CS, from whom i do not know yet and even i could not get any ideas on them through their very brief profiles. It is quite annoying that i have lots of friend requests everyday from absolute strangers. But If i have a message from the person beforehand for friend request, surely i will concern of it.***

Music... I'm crazy about Tom waits, and in love with many absorbing musical works of David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Radiohead, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Changsik Song, Gwangseok Kim, YB, Guckkasten. I also love Bach, Liszt, some of Astor Piazola. Some of BTS as like Fire, Save me, 'Blood Sweat andTears'. I Iike Nick Cave, David Byrne, Bjok, Sinéad O'Connor are in my very favourites too. Recently I have discovered such a pearl Sixto Rodriguez, his songs :Crucify Your mind, Sugar man, I'll slip away, Street boy..., very accidentally from a Lost and FOUND.
Movies... I have watched almost all of Emilr Kusturica, Abbas Kiarostami, Chanuk Park , Miyazaki Hayao,
Chang Dong Lee, Wong Kar Wai, Michel Gondry, and particularly 'Memories of Murder' by Junho Bong . I am a big fan of Michael Haneke , Wim Wenders, Jim Jarmusch, Gus van Sant.., And some Documentary very touching. I like Cohen brothers especially for Barton Fink, Christopher Nolan for Memento and Interstella, David Fincher for Fight Club, Paul Thomas Anderson for Magnolia, Phantom Thread, and The master ...
Lately " Searching for Sugar Man" with the soundtrack. 'Long Day's journey into Night' by Gan Bi : A beautiful fantasy of mixing dream and memories stimulates me not to run away from something voided, 'On body and soul' insanely exquisite and mesmerising by Hungarian director Ildiko Enyedi, 'Personal Shopper' by Olivier Assayas resonantly drives me to a deep and dark cave like a big mirror and face with a reflection of my soul/life myself.
Books...my favourite of favourites : Fernando Pessoa, Charles Baudelaire, Pablo Neruda, Hyeonjong Jeong,
and Nietzsche, Milan Kundera, Raymond Caver, Gabriel Marquez, Le Clezio, Murakami Haruki,
Heekyeong Eun, Paul Austin,... . I admire Dostoevskii, Anton Chekhov, Hemingway, Jiwon Park,
Kyeongri Park, Orhan Pamuk, Margaret Atwood, etc..
Currently i have found more than amazing poetry world Seamus Heaney .
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked on the Camino de Santiago 800 Km in Autumn, 2014 .ᆢOne day walked at night in the dark without any artificial lights, just following the milky way guiding me to the west... with all the purely and sincerely opened senses.
I had my first photography exhibition in Spring, 2015.
I walked Camino del Norte, Primitivo, Camino Engles, and Santiago to Finisterra over 1100 Km July to August, 2015.
I stayed 2 nights in the middle of Sahara desert on Moroccan side in November, 2014.
I have done the hiking from Landmannlaugar through Thonsmork to Skogar in Iceland, struggling with the fog, blizzardy rain, sometimes being stuck in some horrible states nearby death in Sep., 2015.
I have seen the Northern lights twice in Sep. 2015, in Iceland.
I have experienced of camping myself over a month in Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Especially I would not forget the nights of camping by the lake in the outskirts of Trondheim, Norway, with the most breathtaking and stunning sunset , 2016.
I had walked over 2000 Km from mid April to early July, 2017... have experienced hundreds of super amazing people and great nature... started from St. Jacques way in France, got through Spain, especially walked on Via del la Plata +Camino de Sanabria, then Tour de Mont-Blanc, and some of GR.65 in Switzerland, and Austria.
*** To a miracle, I have been back to normally- fine(I really hope) after the losses of my very precious & significantly important camera and the memory cards... once in Colombia, 2016 / the other time in Serbia, 2017. But but please not again.
A month exploration for Canada from the west to the east. Very thankful to meet and know a lot of wonderful warm-hearted and incredibly open- minded people living there and of course the greatly beautiful nature, so that I could have an absolutely great time in autumn and early winter of 2017.
105 day trip, 2018... Almost every day was woven into a big gift by incredibly nice people, who i met and stayed with on the way. Especially staying 7 days in Algerian Sahara was the most delightful highlight, and i have left most of places behind for return some time later.{Italy Cinque Terre and Sicily, Malta, Tunisia, Algeria Sahara, Spain Canary islands, Portugal Camino Portuguese:Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela, through Muxia to Finisterra, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland Belfast Giant Causeway, Ireland Cliffs of Moher Wicklow way...}
Dreams came true in 2018: Himalaya Trekking and exploring India. I would like to go back some time soon, especially for Himalaya, but wonder why it costs a lot.. Nature is nature, it should not be belonging to anyone, any country, and i know i am one of all to be obligated to protect the nature/environment.
Fascinatingly beautiful Great Nature 'Pamir Highway(Mountains)' in 2019 : Alone, very sick all the time in cold, but i could breathe with the enchanting surroundings, I seized the moments with Nature itself and could afford to cross the border from Kyrgyzstan to China on FOOT. It is one of the most beautiful and hardest days at the same time in my life. Want to go back to Pamir and walk along the way as long distance as i can, like building up my own Camino there.
And i was in love with Baikal, particularly Olkhon island. I would like to have a real WINTER there one day.
During the serious pandemic, in 2020 i had my second photography exhibition in Seoul for around 3months.
I made kind of a miracle myself 19 May,2023 to 30 Jul,2023. I had walked everyday from Canterbury, England to Vatican Rome, Italy for 2000km 70days, with my heavy backpack 20kg. Every small step makes big steps, and start runs to end. Finally i met myself in the square of Vatican, finished the long journey.
Te Araroa 3029Km(The long path in New Zealand from the end of North, Cape Reinga to the end of South, Bluff : 25th of Nov., 2023 to 12th of Mar.,2024. I have done another longer and more challenging trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Korean if anyone wants, and maybe about photographing. I'd like to share food culture with my CS friends, and also learn basic local language, cultural things, some local food recipes where I travel. And would like to walk or hike around with my hosts, surfers, or CS members.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm willing to share of my life story and travels, surely as a good listener too... and would like to make some Korean styled food or my own styled right-away-dishes to share with hosts if i have enough time and space, otherwise, normally prepare something even a small thing from my country/ previous places for my host.
And I will try to be a good representative of my country or culture for my host.
I reckon, Couchsurfing shouldn't be only free accommodation, but more about exchanging and sharing community.
