About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I’m currently travelling around Europe in a van with my boyfriend Daryl playing gigs. It’s really a dream come true! Our mission is to make people happy through music and dancing 🎶

ABOUT ME

I’m a singer songwriter from London looking for adventure! Currently travelling around in a van with Daryl figuring out where we want to live in this beautiful world. We have gigs in Southern France through to mid October, when we will head to Spain and Portugal before returning home in November. I don’t know many people out here so it would be great to meet up with friendly people who know the area and would like to meet for a drink or adventure!

Things I love...

Singing, writing music, reading, yoga, meditation, running, exploring, dark chocolate, red wine...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
The Brothers Karamazov by Dotstoyevky... This is such a wonderful philosophical book which I'd recommend to anyone interested in the human condition. I recently read Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie about a woman from Nigeria who emigrates to America, amongst other things. I was really blown away by this book and felt it showed me a view point I’d never experienced before. Also Sula by Toni Morrison is an obvious favourite! Such a beautiful book (of course!!)

Music:
I find this hard to write about as I love so much and so many different types of music. Daryl and I play a lot of Jazz, and I do love listening to Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Luis Armstrong. I also love house music, and minimal techno, really into HVOB. Listening to Nouvelle Vague a lot while we’re in France! Always open to suggestions.

Films:
Amilie, Leon, The Big Lebowski, Almost Famous, Memento, The Thin Red Line, Blade Runner, any films by Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, the Cowen brothers. Also bloody LOVE bridesmaids 😹

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I organised a festival in London a few years ago. It was pretty mental but the day itself was amazing. I’d love to do something like that again.

Teach, Learn, Share

Singing/ songwriting/ guitar workshops- Daryl and I will be giving a few workshops on our travels so it would be great to have some Guiana pigs!

I would love to learn Spanish and French. Maybe we could do an exchange of language learning and music learning 🙏

Buddhism- I am a practicing SGI Buddhist (the chanting ones from Japan!) and love sharing the wisdom of this practice to anyone interested.

Vegan cooking- Daryl is an excellent vegan (and I am a part time vegan!) so we could share some yummy one pot recipes we’ve developed on the road.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We don’t need anywhere to stay, as we have the van. But we’re happy to drive places for adventures and cook yummy things.
