About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm not a mission person

ABOUT ME

I lived in Berlin, Tokyo and many years in Cologne, After years of living partly in Cologne, and working in Munich, I now live in Munich again for work reasons.

Don't mind to do things by myself (alone) - also traveling. Not a complicated person - I think. Not always talkative (in the sense of telling stories without being asked to), but I certainly like to listen.

I am not a fan of Bavaria.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Yep - I opened my door to a couchsurfer for the first time, many years ago now, to a kind and serene young backpacker from Vancouver. One of my daughters answered the interphone and squeaked -" i can't understand what she's saying - come here quick". I'll certainly keep the door open.

Finally, I had a chance and did surf someone's couch myself, after hosting a few people. Although I only stayed one night and we didn't spend so much time together really, couchsurfing ads a different experience to a stay in another city/area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have been invited on the brigde of an ferry boat crossing from somewhere near Osaka to Shikoku. Amazing beautiful thing seen: the Seto-Naikai (Inland Sea) close to Osaka full of tiny fisherboats seen from the plane just before landing - and having this delicious fresh seafood a couple of hours later.
Cycled around Muroto-misaki, a cape in Shikoku, Japan. With a foldable bike and a backpack - that's amazing? Well at least I enjoyed it very much.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not so bad at making cakes and cookies, German style. Lots about the Japanese language.
