About Me

Hello there,

I'm just a regular traveler, living in Czech Republic, but hungry for new experiences in other countries. I believe travelling and immersing oneself in other cultures is a great way to truly understand human nature and to ultimately know oneself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly because I believe the idea behind couchsurfing resonates with my ideals and with the notion of shared economy, but at the same time it's an affordable wayu to travel, and also to meet new people.

Interests

I'm a music enthusiast, so in my spare time I write for an online Berlin-based electronic music magazine. You should check them out at www.localsuicide.com

Besides that, I study some Japanese (as a hobby though), I volunteer and I do several other stuff, when I have the time, like reading, watching movies, you know the drill.

And, since I love my job, I will mention Community Management as well, because I don 't see this as work, but more like as a great way to spend time and get paid :))

Music, Movies, and Books

Now, this is always a tough one. For music, movies and books alike.

Music: I don't have favorites, but at the moment I kinda indulge in house, techno and some weird Japanese stuff.

Books: I'll just mention what I'm currently reading since I feel I might end up being unfair to all those amazing book I read. "Making sense of Japanese" by Jay Rubin (the translator of Haruki Murakami, if that rings any bell)

Movies: I tend to like those kind of movies that make you question ideas and theories, that strike a nerve and stay with you for days. Dramas, psychological movies, documentaries, you name it. I also watch some lighter series to, you know, keep some mental balance. Oh, and I recently discovered I like j-dramas :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really wish I could list here discovering the meaning of life, so for now, I'll just skip this one.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, if you ever want to learn Romanian, practice your English or French or if your in need of a book recommendation, hit me up. I'll do my best :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, if any of those things I listed in my profile seems like a starting point for something you wanna learn, then I guess that should be it.

Also, since I've been living in Brno for over 3 years, I might be able to give you some recommendation of places where to go. Mind you, I am not the ideal guide, as I have a love hate relationship with this city, but I do know some places that are worth visiting.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
