Hi! My name is Summer and I love traveling and meeting new people.
I am usually laughing or making someone else laugh. I also love having in depth talks about theology, philosophy, or really any topic that you're passionate about.
I have a dog, Little Foot, and a cat, Sirius Black the Cat who are the sweetest guys that ever lived.
My siblings are much younger than me, (19 and 11) and they are the two most important people in the world to me.
I work with kids during the day and am training to become a psychologist with an emphasis in child and adolescents.

My background is in music and theatre, and even though that is not currently my full-time job, it is still very much a part of my life. I love performing, singing, and writing very much.
I recently started a blog about my own mental health journey in the hopes to educate other people about what mental illness is like and encourage body positivity and self love as I now am getting my doctorate in psychology to help kids and families going through similar battles. > insanitiesbysummer.blogspot.com

Music, Movies, and Books

I am pretty much always reading a book. I'm a big fan of the children's Winnie the Pooh series as well as The Tao of Pooh. I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan.
I love biographies. One of my favorites is Into the Wild.
My music, movie, and book tastes are all pretty open and change based on what kind of mood I'm in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My dog, Little Foot makes me proud every day. Rescuing and training him was hands down the most amazing and rewarding thing I've ever done.

If you mean amazing as it relates to site seeing, I climbed a mountain in China a few years ago. It was beautiful and unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what I have to teach that you're interested in learning. I can fold a fitted sheet! I know a lot about kids and spend most of my time with them, so if you have a child in your house I'm sure we would get along! I also know a lot about animals, particularly training dogs. I grew up in rural U.S. and moved to a big city, so I know a lot about both ends of America's spectrum.

I'm more interested in learning about you!
I travel because I want to see and experience other cultures (and foods, mostly the food) and part of that experience is getting to know the locals. I want to know why you live in your hometown, what you love about it, where you've been, what you can teach me.

Because I study psychology, I have a huge interest in people. Particularly people who are different than I am.

I like to think that I am a considerate person who wants nothing more than to meet new people, see new sights, and curl up with a good book at the end of the day.
