ABOUT ME

Love meeting people and I like to hear their stories. I know all about me-I want to learn about you. Easy going. I don't have much family so friends are most important to me. I have 4 cats which is entirely too many, but took two in to help a friend. So if you're allergic to cats, this wouldn't be a good stop. I smoke, but of course I'm quitting soon, so if you do, that's okay too, but on the back porch. I have a 25 year old son in San Diego and enjoy visits from his friends. I'm old school-prefer face to face over facebook, although I'm on it. I'm not OCD about my house, but it is clean. You would have a bed and use of the main bathroom. I do have two couches if you prefer that!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation. Take one step at a time and keep on stepping. Live by the Golden Rule. Keep up to date. Laughter is the best medicine. Don't get upset about stupid stuff (nobody is bleeding in the street).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted two times and one CSer became a great roommate for 5 months.

Music, books, knitting/weaving, biking, gardening. I like history and suspense novels. I tell my friends the only things I care to buy anymore are electronics and jewelry. I get books from the library, and have all the music on Itunes that anyone would ever need. I would like to become a minimalist, but not there yet. I lean towards conservative views, stay up on the news for the most part, but don't believe in getting argumentative about politics or religion. I think I heard that somewhere.

I have netflix, I like old movies, suspense, comedy but I'm picky about it. For books - autobiographies and some nonfiction if it doesn't read like a textbook, suspense novels, human interest stories-anything good. I like all kinds of music except classical and jazz-they give me the heebeejeebies. I don't watch much TV except for some of the series like Damages, The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Treme. Or the news.
I like books that are well written. No Danielle Steele types.

I can teach knitting. I would like to learn to play the guitar and harmonica. I have both, just haven't committed to learning them yet.
