About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To use my face paints sometime in the next week.

ABOUT ME

The bay is an amazing place. Right now I'm cherishing seeing all of this with new eyes.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that the universe is building towards ever more complex structures. I'm totally pro this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By being friendly and doing group activities, mainly. Happy to host. Haven't surfed yet but I'd love to change that in San Francisco!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing for me has been mainly sharing experiences with other couchsurfers.

I'm open to host if you're vouched for by a few people and seem friendly).

Interests

I'm really engaged in science, I've always made my money from learning, teaching, and doing it.

I dance and dance and dance and dance.

I'm actively searching for groups of people to go backpacking or river running with.

I like to go camping around interesting things like music or art festivals. California seems like it will be a particurally great place to do this.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch movies seldom but when I to I tend to prefer indie or foreign films. I've watched a *lot* of movies in the past, but it's just not the phase I'm in.

Music I'm much more into. I'm enjoying learning about the bands in the bay area. It' sa great adventure.

As for books...how sad. Grad school largely broke me of the reading habit. I read when I'm on public transit and that's about it. Usually either popular science things or else young adult fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I first walked out onto the Esplanade at Burning Man I was awestruck. I was there with my friend Windpipe the clown and he leaned in and said ``See, it's exactly like Toast, right?'' And then he laughed, as clowns do.

When I was in elementary school I used to bike through drainage tunnels with a bunch of other kids. We'd petal pretty fast, and sometimes we'd all yell together. It was totally dark, save for the occasional slits above. At the end there was a little room where we could go in one at a time, turn our bike around, and then go back.

Also this one time, in grad school, our role playing group got the theater space for a day and we gamed all day long. I bunch of times we stood up and positions ourselves as if we were our characters and acted out scenes. I'd been gaming with those people for three years by that point....t'was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you learn math and some things about science. I'm also handy with conventional tools and machining equipment.

I'd like to farm more effectively. I haven't learned much about East Bay community gardens yet and I'd love to connect with one.
