About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Век живи, век учись - Live a century, learn a century.
ABOUT ME
Christopher S. Sundahl was born in Takatsuki, Japan to a Japanese mother and Californian father who met in what could constitute an awww-inspiring tale involving studying abroad and language study.
He has moved from Japan to the United States on multiple occasions since. In the course of these moves, Christopher became fluent in both Japanese and English, and cultivated an intense interest in foreign languages. He is now studying Materials Science at the UW-Madison, and casually studies Russian, French, Arabic, Chinese, and a number of other languages.
Christopher's hobbies include reading, studying languages, listening to and writing music, surfing the Internet, and writing about himself in the third person.
PHILOSOPHY
Chronic, but mitigated, optimism.

Opeth is one of my favorite bands, as is Elbow.
Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors, as is Kurt Vonnegut.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing thing?
I jumped off a bridge once. Actually, I jumped off it twice. It was loads of fun.
Also the aforementioned road trip, it's my Great Journey. What's yours?
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a good deal about linguistics and foreign languages, though I've never formally studied it.
I've also learned a few things about brewing mead and beer, though I've never taken classes in that, either.
I know some basic music theory, and can play the guitar.
What I formally study is mechanical engineering, and I could probably teach a calculus or basic physics course, I've done that stuff so many times.
Things I'd like to learn: cooking. Nutrition. More about brewing. Any number of foreign languages. Economics/politics/history.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, France, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Japan, Russian Federation, United States
