Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know new places is a much more enjoyable when doing so with people who actually live and work in those places.
To be more a person than a tourist and to get to know lots of induvidual people is something i am looking forward to.

I love reading Novels but also a few fictional storys.
My favorite author is: R.M. Schröder.
And i love learning a language from watching movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well there are many experiences i treasure and i do not want to bore you with my whole life story, though there is one i might share. A few year ago I traveled in a country where i would consider most of the population a lot poorer then where i come from. The people i stayed with for a while were a bit more fortunate than the majority however still earned much less money than i would at home. What amazed me was that when they took me along one day as they went shopping for clothes she insisted on bying me (a stranger) a pair of jeans and a jumper...treating me just like any of her family. Unlike most people around her who thought me (a white person) to be rich in comparison, she accepted me and made me feel, not only at that occasion but the entire time i was there like a part of her family. I will not forget this particular experience of kindness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking... especially for others.
If there are similar hoppys we could share them too. And even if there are no similarities it is always interesting to get to know another persons lifestory!
