About Me
Hello ~ I'm Sung. I'm a peaceful soul who loves to experience new things.
I enjoy hiking, kayaking and swimming in the tranquility of nature, it is my meditation.
If you couldn't tell already, I really enjoy food. l Love to find out where to serve tasty and special food.
Cooking for people close to me is one of my hobbies. I get the most joy out of making other people laugh. Let's explore the world together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was trying to have some different experience before l went to volunteer in Vermont, US.
I was expecting to meet some people who live there, it did not make me disappointed, I met a good host in Salem, MA, we chatted and drunk beers a whole night. Also, I had good conversations with my host's roommate after I had a look around the city.
As the first try on Couchsurfing, I was pretty lucky to have a fantastic experience.
I hope I can experience more like this and make friends who are from different cultures and countries,
that's the reason I'm still on Couchsurfing.
Interests
My major was horticulture and landscape in university and graduate school. I do have passions for what I learned so these become part of my interests such as sketching, painting, photographing, cultivating some herbs and enjoying solitude in nature. Furthermore, I love most aquatic outdoor recreations such as swimming, kayaking, and surfing, I believe my country is an island surrounded by oceans that's the main reason.

Music, Movies, and Books
Chill and slow songs are my favorite kinds of music. The reason might be I can't get lyrics when they are brisk. I have an old soul so most movies I like are those old movies. I believe classical and meaningful movies their nature would never lose with time fly. Chasing Mavericks, Rudy and Pride and Prejudice are those movies that I mentioned.
There are some books each of them came to different stages of my life. When I was a kid, I read the book, The AlchemistL A Fable About Following Your Deam, it encouraged me to believe I was able to dream bravely. The Last Lecture is a book for comforting me as my life was in a dark time. I love the quote from that book "The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.", it did inspirit me to face the problems.
