About Me

I graduated with a Master's degree in Religion, Culture, and Politics. Since graduating, I have been traveling around the world, from the Americas, to Europe, and the Middle East!

I enjoy intellectually stimulating activities and learning about different communities, their people, politics, history. I also enjoy watching and playing sports, eating, and cooking. I'd be really interested in checking out the local produce and I have never turned down a local delicacy or drink (like boudin noir, sauerkraut, or Rocky Mountain Oysters)!

As a guest, I aim to be polite, respectful and easy going.

Also, I love music. Jazz is my favorite, though I have had a Beatles phase, and Daft Punk phase too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is also wonderful because I get to experience the incredible hospitality that people have and inspire me to replicate such hospitality. More recently, I have become motivated to learn at least 5 languages. Hopefully French is next!

Interests

Trying to be like Anthony Bourdain, i.e., eating good, having fun, and meeting awesome people.

Music, Movies, and Books

My studies have made me become familiar with the thoughts and writings of Michel Foucault, Mircea Eliade, Paul Ricœur, Simone de Beauvoir and many other scholars. Sometimes I enjoy reading super intense intellectual stuff, but I am looking for lighter literature to enjoy. I must admit that I read a lot of about golf, to the point where I dream about it. I don't play when I travel though as I find it to be really expensive and a burden to carry too much equipment around.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can 100% teach you how to play golf and also how to win at American drinking games like beer pong.

Otherwise I have noticed that there are so many well traveled people on CS, that I am not sure if I can share any more travel tips as I am usually the one learning how to travel better.

I am always up for a good conversation.
