ABOUT ME

I´m 33 years old, i´ve got 2 brothers that will always be my best friends, one living in Tromsö, Norway, the other one in Rovaniemi, Finland. My mum lives in northern Norway (or Sápmi) and my dad in northern Finland (Sápmi as well). Most of my friends are into arts, music and traveling so i´ve been very lucky to learn a lot with them. I´m still figuring out what i really want to do with my life and where to settle down. I´ve lived most of my life above the Arctic Circle. I love winter and snow. I´ve been working on a boat between Finland and Estonia for about 5 years, living in Turku. My colleques are from all the neighboring countries so i can enjoy listening to Finnish, Swedish, Estonian and Russian every day at work! Before this job i was a teacher of Sámi language in my home area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´m hoping to get more surfers over in the future and i´m sorry for not being to active the past year, i was too engaged with my studies and job.

Interests

I enjoy good food and wine. I like cooking and i always want to learn something new when traveling.
I enjoy jogging (for relaxing&freeing my mind) and have noticed that it´s a good way for getting to know a new place! ;)
I´m very interested in languages and cultures, especially indigenous cultures. I belong to an indigenous group of Sámi living in Northern parts of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing -52 Celsius degrees in Inari about 10 years ago was something that i will not forget!
