ABOUT ME

I've just recently returned to CS after a few years' hiatus. Now I've relocated to Dubai which I think is a great hub to access plenty of travel destinations I would like to visit.

Most of my life has been spent in Canada, where I grew up, and lived & worked in different places all over the country. I love travelling and connecting with people. We all have a unique story of our own, and being able to share that with each other; to learn from one another and to realize how we are also connected, is part of what makes life beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS in the summer of 2007, first as a host and then eventually going on to do some surfing of my own. Right from the start it has been such a rewarding experience from both roles. It makes me happy to be an active member in this community.

bumped into Silia in Bergen and became acquainted with each other over sales of fresh seafood.
spent another couple of days with Nikki & Callista in Glasgow
met up with Collette from Canada a couple of times in Whistler
checked out the Whistler Film Festival with Hervé from Canada
hosted Hervé for a few days in Whistler
found accommodations at Mike's place in Kenora.
stayed with Philip and his family while in Richmond.
over the course of a summer in Whistler, Melissa and I got together for coffee and hiking.
dinner with Su and Ian in Vancouver.
caught up with Grayson in Toronto and together met with Nicole for burritos!
attended a CS Meet at Barasti in Dubai, followed by drinks at Kirsten's place.
stayed at Nicole's flat in Toronto.
spent a Saturday night with Su & Ryan in Vancouver.
met for coffee and a Whistler village tour with Katrine (Denmark), Claes (Sweden), and Mathius (Sweden).
during the early winter went skating with Katrine, Claes, Mathius, and Anja & David from Germany.
hosted Garry from Canada during his visit to Whistler before he moved here.
went to a few CS dinners at Garry's place in Whistler; met Benji (Australia), Michael (UK), Brock (Canada), and Matt (Australia).
hosted Tessa and Cat from Vancouver on two occasions in Whistler.
dinner, music, and laughs with Julie & Mireille from Québec via Whitehorse.
enjoyed dinner at The Naam in Vancouver with Garry & Brock from Whistler and Tessa from Vancouver.
crashed on Tessa's air mattress in Vancouver.

an afternoon in a Whistler coffee shop with Adeline from France.

hosted Michelle & Sophie of USA & Sweden via Montréal, in Whistler.
surfed Su's couch in Vancouver and together enjoyed "Star Wars: In Concert"
surfed Tim's air mattress and together ran the 2010 Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon.
hosted Elena from Germany in Whistler.

met Silia again, this time in Oslo, for an evening of outdoor ice skating and the opening of the Oslo International Film Festival.
