ABOUT ME

Hi I'm cat. I'm an artist and photographer and creative kind of person who lives in Gisborne, a small beach town on the east coast of NZ. I live with my partner Ali who is English. We live a pretty relaxed lifestyle in beautiful Gisborne, NZ - it's a lovely place and welcome visitors to come and enjoy the environment here.If you like surfing, the beach or just peace - then Gisborne is the place for you :)We've been open for couch surfing for a few years now and love to open our home (and couch!) We have a fold out sofa bed and can take 2 people. Small bathroom and kitchen. We are open to couchsurfers passing through Gisborne who want a friendly base to stay while they're exploring our region. We have two dogs Lucy and Rusty and a cat Nonu. If you're wanting to stay with us please give us two weeks notice of your arrival and also mention the word blackberry so we know you've read our profile. Our house is small so you need to like dogs because they'll follow you around a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music and when i was younger I played lots of instruments, I'm a painter and photographer so I love all art and creative things, performance, theatre, dance, and movies I LOVE movies art house, drama, international, action! I read mainly non fiction because i love learning about people and things and how they work! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running through a live train track tunnel for 25 minutes just to get to a secret beach where the stones looked like dinosaur eggs while on a trek.
