ABOUT ME

I am a part time father, and (full time) maker of things.
I love the outdoors: Cycling, swimming, running after children, bush walking, all the good stuff. (And if someone wants to teach me to climb and surf, then I'm sure I'll love surfing and climbing too... anybody?)
I have been working on the sustainability mission way too long, and as it comes to fruition am enjoying laying back a bit more.
Life is good 8)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last time I woke up on someone else's couch was in Otaki, with an amazing family who are living self sufficiently off their own land. Its amazing how much I have learnt from random people in impromptu situations, this is what I love about couch surfing, serendipitous growth.

Heaps of music, not sure if I like pop, my daughter is a doing a good job of convincing me tho. ATM I am listening to Cell and folk jibs (old old skool dance music 8)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had three fullon amazing children. Its def. the biggest thing Ive done.
I was pretty politically active before that, and our tour-de-force was bringing the local uni to its knees with an occupation! Its amazing what a tight group of committed ppl can achieve, scary really.
Recently putting years of blah and what if into being mostly off the grid is pretty amazing (ish)

Teach, Learn, Share

Wow, way to much in here, from Esoteric knowledge to embedded systems. Local history, local politics (yay!), the practical stuff about making stuff, the theoretical stuff about making stuff, electronics, programming, computer stuff, fixing stuff and car mechanics, gardening, organic gardening, even... biodynamic gardeining. Alternative energy stuff, like wind turbines, solar panels, control systems, errmm and more stuff.

I need to know other stuff, like more instruments, surfing, climbing, fun stuff I havnt even thought of yet. Can anyone show me how to use a squirrel suit?
