Live love, love life
ABOUT ME
Two things are very important for me. Learning in life and finding passion. I believe that whatever you encounter in life it always has a lesson in it for you to learn. I'm very eager to do something with my lessons in life. Learning is also very important for me, because I have a hungry brain. I love to learn new things and dive into new experiences. I'm curious about life and all there is to it. I am intrinsically interested in what moves people and why they do what they do. I think you could call me realistic optimist. I'm open-minded and kind, but I wouldn't call myself impulsive. At the same time I also have quite a philosopher's mind. Trying to make sense of life is something I enjoy.
I like to spend time with people that are real. I don't like superficiality. Furthermore, I see myself as someone who builds bridges. I really enjoy exploring and discovering connections that are not obvious to everyone.
Something I really enjoy doing is photography, and if I have some time off, I enjoy to go out and take pictures. I have my DSLR for longer than a year now and I really love playing around with it.
I´m sure that before my life ends I will have written a book. And I´m quite sure that my photography will play a role in that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been teaching Dutch to CS-members living in Amsterdam. It was a wonderful experience to teach a language to other people and at the same time meet new friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met wonderful people through the Couchsurfing Project, made new friends and have discovered some hidden parts even in my own city. Couchsurfing is great!
Interests
Photography, Culture (hence my studies in Cultural and Personality Psychology, and Culture, Organization and Management), Spirituality, Languages, People and their motivation to live the life they live, I am always curious about the why of everything :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading, both fiction and non-fiction. Books I enjoyed recently include Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden and Middlesex by Jeffrey Euginedes. I like reading true-life stories: Mandela's autobiography was very impressive as well as Wild Swans by Jung Chang.
