About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have fun and meet lots of interesting people to learn from. Hopefully spread some sunshine along the way.

ABOUT ME

Hmmm about me. I am a light hearted person, with a good sense of humour, who enjoys laughing. Rather easy going and I find joy in the simple things in life like beautiful places & nature. I have just been travelling for one year for the first time. So i enjoy challenging myself to move out of my comfort zone. I am a kind hearted person and enjoy empowering others to help themselves. I am tidy, clean and helpful around the house. I love cooking and learning about new ways to make things or trying new things. Except Seafood! Yuk! I'm vegetarian. I can cook and love to be creative with food or in any way I can. Have been teaching myself to crochet on my last trip and I am making some things at the moment. Love to learn new things from people though!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a positive person who has learned to believe that i attract what i give out to the world. During my trip i'm meeting all the right people in the right places. Its kind of magical once your on the road how things flow when you have faith they will. I try to treat everyone as best as i can and not to judge or be harmful towards another unless in self defense. I love life and enjoy every moment of every day. Free from fear and being free to be me at last. Live it love it and do it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by meeting lots of travellers and sharing knowledge of my home country and town. If i do not have a couch to share i will make time to show people around and make their stay as enjoyable as possible. Looking forward to exchanging experiences and learning more about other cultures. I recommend this site to people i meet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have made some wonderful new friends all over the world and had some really great experiences. Some places and people i was sad to leave when the time came as they had such a great impact on me. I am grateful for couch surfing as it is enriching all my travelling experiences. Unfortunately at the moment i can't host but I look forward to the day i have my own space to share with others and give back.

Interests

I'm interested in alternative therapies, yoga, meditation, how to grow herbs and plants and their healing properties. I'm interested in people and how different experiences effect different people. What people have experienced to make them the person they are now. I'm interested in most things really as i'm always learning! Love to dance, dance with poi but need some new moves as i've not practiced for ages and would like to get into dancing with fire, want to be more creative. Love playing like a child happy and free. Love 5 Rhythms dancing and enjoy salsa dancing well learning!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love lots of different music from folky (KT Tunstall, Amy Macdonald), to new age music, to indie Rock(Snow Patrol, stone roses, Verve, Oasis). I also like some 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's music and dance music as long as not heavy on the ears if i'm not going out dancing..

Books - I love to read i enjoyed some amazing books which have been self learning and changed my life i.e. The Celestine Prophecy, Way of Peaceful Warrior, You can heal your life and many many more.
Then books like Time Travellers wife (amazing) or Eat, Prey, Love. lots and lots.
I don't really watch TV or films unless its something i'm interested in. Not keen on scary movies or too much violence. I find TV can be unsociable, but i'm fine with others doing it as i can take myself off with my book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing i feel i have done is change my life from being in depression to changing my life and slowly learning how to change my thoughts and beliefs. So that i can now live without fear and be free to be me and travel and see amazing things at last! Also worked and lived in an orphanage in cambodia for two weeks teaching English. Loved it! The kids really touched my heart!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned lots of things about myself on my journey through my life and about healing myself from illnesses. I believe information is for sharing only if someone wishes to hear it, so i don't force my knowledge on people or think people should learn from me. But i'm always open and willing to share if the time is right and if not then lets just enjoy and have a laugh. I have studied various healing modalities and learning to heal and change myself of limiting belief patterns. But i make it clear i do not analyse everyone i meet so don't worry.
I'm interested in learning Esoteric info, permaculture, different cultures and lots more.
