Actually this is a 2 people profile. Me and my wife Hyekyong met in Seoul a few years ago. We shared a lot of hobbies and became best friends. We enjoy traveling and meeting new people, sharing stories and learning from others. Since our jobs didn't allow us to match schedules to travel together, we decided to save some money, quit our jobs, sell all our stuff, leave the house and travel the world!

ABOUT ME

Jordi studied some media and TV before my Journalism degree.
Hyekyong studied English translation&Interpretation and some media too.

Jordi worked as Spanish language teacher in Seoul. And sometimes I still do it online.
Hyekyong worked in tourism and as a flight attendant.

We like meeting new people, traveling, listening to music, taking photos, shooting and editing videos (we have a YouTube channel!), playing games...

Some sports: swimming, snorkeling, anything on water, cycling, trekking, anything outdoors and involving the nature too. We get bored going to a gym.

We are also interested in cooking (and eating!)- we like to try (making and eating) different foods from everywhere. Fusion and take the best flavours from all around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since first time we tried Couchsurfing it went good all times.
We had the chance to meet really nice people whom we're still in touch with and miss them!
We only tried Couchsurfing in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia and Oman.
We can't wait to try in other countries and meet other people!!

Interessen

I think I'm not great at any of them, but i really enjoy doing them! They say "Jack of all trades, master of none".
I love finding hobbies or interests in common with people and chat with them for long time.
I also like going out and do some trekking, or any water sport. Snorkeling might be one of our favourite outdoor activities.
We also enjoy sitting and enjoying some good tv series or movies.
We love boardgames and craft beers, the combination of both with friends brings great times!

All genres have their gems! I can enjoy pop, rock, reggae, electronic, classical...

We read many books by Haruki Murakami and loved them all.
Jordi also likes epic sagas like A Song Of Ice And Fire and also loved comic books: Tintin, Dragon ball...
Nowadays, I'm fascinated with Yuval Harari's 'Sapiens' series.

Movies? Many! Any genre, any director, any actor..as long as the story is good! Always ready to discover new ones!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Quitting everything to travel the world with together!

With no prior experience on motorbikes, we did a 10 day motorbike trip in north of Vietnam. It was amazing and exciting to leave our comfort zone and challenge ourselves with such trip!

One of my (Jordi) life changing experiences was to move to Seoul as university student and staying there for 8 years! Not sure where I belong now. Home could be anywhere!

Since snorkelling is one of our passions, it was a pretty amazing moment when we saw two sharks swimming near us in Pigeon Island, east coast of Sri Lanka, and turtles!

Open Water Diving license in Koh Tao, Thailand. Looking forward to level up to advance or even more!

In Laos we stayed two nights in some of the highest treehouses in the world, ziplining and hearing and spotting gibbons (very cute apes!)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I (Jordi) have been teaching Spanish for more than 6 years!
Always ready to learn some new expressions or customs from other people and cultures!
I (Jordi) used to be a DJ too. I can teach you some basics about mixing music ;)
Photography, filming and video editing are some of the things I'm passionate about too.

We can share stories of our travels. I can teach some useful Spanish, Catalan, English and even some Korean!
It's my pleasure to cook for others and see them enjoying what I made.
I'm humorous too, I usually make jokes, I like seeing people smiling and laughing. Smile and laugh language is universal, no?
