ABOUT ME

Hey sirs and Sirsetts!!!
I am a 23 year old French Canadian who can speak perfect French and English and I wish I could speak Italian because it is such a beautiful language!
I work with people who have mental health problems and I truly love it! I love the people, I love the connection I have with them. I love helping them, supporting them and everything that comes along with it! Great job! :)

I started travelling last year when my sister dragged me to Europe for 5 weeks! At first I did not want to go because it did not fascinate me at all. EUROPE?? COME ON!! bring me down south where its nice and sunny!! Two seconds after I arrived in Paris, I did not want to leave. In fact, writing this right now and re-living how I felt when I first arrived in Europe, its giving me goosebumps!!!!!! I spent the most wonderful 5 weeks in Europe and met the most amazing people along the way. I visited 8 different countries and loved each one of them for individual reasons! I loved Europe so much that it took me 2 weeks to unpack my bag because i wanted to leave again so bad!! From that moment on, I decided that my number one reason for working would be to go travelling again. In fact, 5 months later I was back packing in Europe again, visting 3 more countries and finally crying the entire way home because I simply did not want to go back to the same old routine that was awaiting me at home!!
I have also been to the United States. I went to New York and New Jersey. New York was an experience in itself! My car got towed, I payed 185 us dollars to get it back + a 65 usd ticket.. not even 10 hours after I arrived in NY!!! OUFF!! My vacation was not off to a great start!! But it was all good in the end! New york is crazy!!! So busy!!!! New Jersey was rather quiet and uneventuful!
Unfortunately that is the end of my travelling history except for a week in Cuba which really didn't do much for me. The whole beach and resort thing..... not for me unfortunately! Though I totally respect those who really enjoy it! :)
I have many travelling dreams.. which I am working really hard to achieve! I want to drive all around the United States and stop in every state and visit one famous monument or place. I want to live and work in Europe for a whole year. I want to go to Australia and take a picture with a kangaroo.. I want to go to Viet Nam to see my friends family and finally I want to go to Indonesia because my friend goes there 2-3 times per year and everytime he comes back with glittering eyes and I want to experience that as well!!
wow.. I could go on forever...

PHILOSOPHY

I think when you discover something that really makes you feel great and gives you a reason to live, you will do anything that you can to live that experience again. Ever since I discovered travelling and the feeling it gives me, it has become one of the main reasons that motivates me everyday. To me, there is no better feeling then the feeling of freedom, which is what I experience when I travel. My personal philosophy.. hmm... do what makes you happy!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experience as of now however I can not wait to start couchsurfing nor can I wait to have couchsurfers surf my apt!! It is great to meet people from different parts of the world :)

Interests

Travelling,Europe, Paris, The Eiffel Tower, Mountains, the Italian language. I love to watch Hockey (Go Habs Go) and baseball. I would LOVE to play curling because it just looks so darn fun! I love to walk, ride my bike, read, listen to music and relax with some friends while having a good Heineken. I love Jay and Silent Bob!! I am very interested in WWII, which is one of the reasons why I love Europe so much. I love listening to people talk and I love superman

Right now I am in a "blast from the past" phase and listen to a lot of Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, ACDC, Styx, Queen, Michael Jackson, Survivor, Beach boys... you get the point!!I love Dashboard Confessional, City and Colour, Jimmy Eat world, U2, Johnny Cash, Nickelback etc....

Books: Any WWII novels (Anne Frank, Night, The Pianist),the Harry Potter Books, The kite Runner, And then there wer none....

Movies:I really like anything. from Scary gore to chick flick!! :P My fav; Back to the Future Trilogy!! Classic!!!! All Kevin Smith movies and those he will make in the future..and all the superman movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Go up the highest mountain in the swiss alps, looked around me, saw nothing but snow-covered mountain tops, raised my two arms in the air, tilted my head back took a deep breath and realized that for the first time in my life I felt free. Free from anything and everything all at once. Free from all the worries and stress! Free from all the anger and sadness. It was the best day and best feeling of my life!! :)
