About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To cross central and south America over the next 2 years discovering the food and writing all about it!

ABOUT ME

I am in love with life-enjoy living and breathing very much. I am working as a nurse and part time chef.

I have many varied interests and it is always an adventure to see where they all take me! I'm open minded and love to meet new people.

Now I am preparing for my biggest adventure yet. On October 3, 2012 I will depart for my trip to cross South & Central America over 2 years. My boyfriend and I will be discovering the foods & the cultures of these beautiful regions and plan to write a book about it. We also will continually post on our blog.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life in a passionate, soulful way with good intent. Good intent leads to good actions and the end result is usually that things fall their way. Follow your instincts and embrace fear and change! The more we embrace it, the better we are at adapting, living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and sharing with people my city and the things I love about it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted quite a few great people and had an amazing experience CS-ing in Paris for NYE-with a total of 15 CSers! Very special.

CS can change your life-it has changed mine! All of our moments in life have some kind of outcome. They can add to other smaller moments and create a big change or sometimes you don't see their effect for a long time. I have met people through CS-ing that have changed my life in ways I didn't think was possible. One conversation with a stranger can impact your life and maybe the lives of others too. The CS-ing experience is a big part of that for me. By opening up not only your home but yourself to someone else, you create an opportunity to make yourself and the lives of others potentially better.

Interests

I like: music, cooking, reading, travelling, camping, hiking, biking, dancing, food, sunsets/sunrises-even moonrises! water, mountains, being outside, being spontaneous, fragile things, small things, science, photography, the weather, a good cup of coffee, red wine, good food, amongst many other things!

I don't like: being stuck in traffic, people who have no empathy, mean spirited people, empty people, dirty snow, hazy hot and humid weather
