Overview
About Me
Egyptian guy, full-time Data Engineer and part-time traveler..
Always in a search for every teeny tiny chance to travel somewhere. Longing for life experiences, whether they turned out nice or bad -I believe I'll always learn something out of those experiences- and discovering new places and adventures.
For me, it is wonderful to see how people can get connected together and how beautifully, funny or even awkward it gets when different cultures meet.
I'm interested in adventures, walks and deep talks ... I'd stop and listen to a busker playing music ... I'd love to sit and talk with a homeless.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I still remember that filipino guy who came to our school (it's not common here to have foreign students) on grade 2, and how was I eager to help him out and get him involved in our activities though he couldn't speak any Arabic word!
So, I would say it's one of the things I love to do by nature; getting to know new cultures and offering help to whoever.
Also I believe that life shouldn't be boring, travelling is something admirable, I don't wanna spend my life in a daily routine ... I'm trying to travel as much as I can and seeing places through locals' eyes will be a perfect way to visit a place, I'm not looking only for a place to stay at, but having a company sharing experience and fun with.

As a surfer I am good with any sleeping arrangements and house rules as long as my host is welcoming 🤗 ... I would share in cooking and cleaning, I am not messy as well.
*plans for Cairo :
1. take the shuttle bus to the bus station in the airport ... there is a new bus service for 15EGP to get into the center (not a public bus) or take an Uber for about 120EGP (good option for a group)
2. metro stations for city attractions :
- Sadat st. (Tahrir square and Egyptian museum)
- Opera st. (Cairo tower and the opera)
- Margirgis st. (old Coptic churches)
- Bab el shaareya st. (khan El-khalili is 1km away)
- Al-Ahram st. (Heliopolis neighbourhood)
- Giza st. (to go to pyramids but needs an Uber or bus after getting off)
- El Shohadaa st. (Railway station)
3. Attractions grouped by location :
1. Pyramids and the Sphinx.
2. Abdeen's palace, Egyptian museum, Tahrir square, Cairo tower, Opera and the Nile corniche (you can rent a small felluka boat)
3. Baron palace, Le Basilique, St.Mark church, St.Rita church and the presidential palace.
4. Khan El Khalili and El Mouez street.
5. Old Egypt churches, Coptic museum, Amro Ibn El-As mosque, the Jewish synagogue, Salah El Deen's citadel and garbage city.
I can show you local customs and landmarks; the real egyptian culture that not many people know about it, they may only see the pyramids and the red sea but there is much much more, Also sharing a lot of Egyptian dishes 😋
